OPERATION OF LIBRARY OF THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND POLITICAL SCIENCES FROM 9/11/2020 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

From Monday 9-11-2020 until further notice, due to the special pandemic circumstances and following the Joint Ministerial Decree (ΦΕΚ 6/11/2020 iss.2nd no. 4899), the library will be open to the public from 8:00 to 15:30 and libraries' functions will be altered accordingly.
Specifically:

• Reading space: Reading Room operation is suspended.

• Return of material: The return of material for which the return date has been set at 1st February 2021, the loan is extended with a new return date of 1 March 2021. However, it should be noted that depending on the circumstances, the library has the option to request the return of the material before the above date. For the return of material you will follow the same procedure as the receipt. That is, communication with the Library and a scheduled appointment.

Mainly ALL services will be provided remotely.

BOOK LOAN: It is valid for exceptional cases and is allowed only for the members of the School to which the Library belongs. Only the material will be received in person. No service will be provided without a pre-arranged appointment. Academic ID is required. If it has not been issued yet, a certificate of attendance is submitted by the Secretariat of the Department.

APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION: A necessary condition for loan service is membership registration. You will find the application in the section Useful documents on the library website econpol.lib.uoa.gr.  Fill it in and send it to one of the following mails:

BOOK LOAN APPLICATION: Anyone wishing to borrow books seeks the titles in the library catalogue OPAC and then submits there request (book titles and class numbers) through the loan form. Notification that the request has been processed will arrive by e-mail.

DAILY BOOK LOAN: suspended until further notice.

INTERLIBRARY BOOK LOAN APPLICATION: Borrowing of books, which do not exist in our library, from libraries of other universities participating in interloaning. Submit an interloan form.

The use of face mask is mandatory as well as hand sanitizing before returning or collecting material to the Libraries.
